Before class on Wednesday/Thursday please read pages 415-426. Look out for the following:
Please complete the following two assignments before we meet again after Thanksgiving Break (Google Forms does not let you save your work so don't accidentally erase it all!):
Chapter 16: Transformations in Europe
Chapter 17: The Diversity of American Colonial Societies
I know that it is not fun to have work to do during a break but we just do not have enough time left in the semester to get all of these things covered in class. I really appreciate all of your hard work and I think you are the best people in the history of the world. Have a great break, eat a lot of delicious food, spend quality time with your family, and watch a lot of football.
There will not be a packet for Unit 4 because we won't be using too many primary sources outside of the DBQ essay. I have posted the Unit Overview on the "Documents and Videos" section of the website and it includes all of the terms you will need for your notecards. Your notecards and the SPICE Chart will be due at the start of your midterm exam.
- What were the results of the Portuguese expeditions into West Africa? (pgs. 415-417)
- How successful were the Portuguese as they moved into India? (pg. 418-422)
- Who were the conquistadors and what did they do? (pg. 422)
- Who was Hernan Cortes and what role did he play in the fall of the Aztec empire? (pg. 422)
- Who was Francisco Pizarro and what role did he play in the fall of the Inca empire? (pg. 424)
