- Choose one of the two prompts
- Come up with a short list of similarities and differences
- Choose between one and two of each (the ones you know the most about)
- Create a thesis statement (Ex: BLANK and BLANK were similar in BLANK and BLANK ways. However, they were different when it came to BLANK.)
- Write the body paragraphs (0ne for similarities, one for differences) and be sure to include at least four pieces of specific evidence (vocabulary words, the type of stuff we put on our notecards)
- Write the synthesis paragraph (relate one part of your essay to something else outside of the topic)
